Trail of Visions

The "Trail of Visions" is both a hiking trail and a meditation path. It starts in Flüeli at the house where Brother Klaus was born, and ends at his burial chapel in Sachseln.

Visions are special gifts from God experienced by saintly people like Brother Klaus and his wife Dorothea. This pilgrim path has to do with Brother Klaus' earthly and spiritual life. The first five visions were had by Brother Klaus, the sixth by Dorothea.

The six markers along the way are the work of Obwalden artist André Bucher (citizen of Kerns, resident of Geneva). In 1991, the trail was opened to coincide with Switzerland's 700th anniversary.
