Winter hiking trails
Engelberg - Brunni
The Brunni area is popular with hikers both in summer and in winter, when 15 km of marked trails wait to be discovered. The mountain panorama featuring Mount Titlis is extremely beautiful, and it accompanies you every step of the way.
Ristis - Rigidalalp - Brunnihütte
The wide and well-groomed "Panoramaweg" leads you from Ristis up to Älplerbeizli Rigidal (a mountain tavern) and on to Brunnihütte. This winter hike is considered one of the most attractive in all Switzerland, not least because of its unique mountain views. You can also tackle the acsent or descent with the chairlift.

Ristis - Schwand - Engelberg
From the train station, head for the center of Engelberg and continue to the "Brunnibahn" base station. Take the cable car to Ristis, where you'll find a wide path leading back to Engelberg. At Spisboden, follow the signs to Schwand. From there you'll follow the trail back to Engelberg. If need be, you can shorten the hike from Spisboden by returning to Engelberg via "Bergli."

Whenever possible, the trails are checked and maintained daily. However, it's best to go with a buddy, and always be sure to bring the appropriate gear for a winter walk in the mountains.
