Winter hiking trails
Engelberg - Titlis
A network of about 49 km of winter hiking trails stretches across the valley and its snowy landscape. The routes are numbered and marked in purple.
Gerschnialp - Untertrübsee (via Bänklialpweg)
From Hotel Bänklialp, you hike uphill via Bänklialpweg and through the forest to Gerschnialp. After that, you walk along the street to Station Gerschnialp, and then along the winter hiking trail at the foot of Bizistock to Untertrübsee.
Hiking time: 1 hour, 45 minutes
Altitude difference: 240 meters
Trübsee - Hüethütte - Trübsee Station
From the Obertrübsee mountain station, the path is slightly uphill leading to Hüethütte at the foot of frozen Lake Trüb (Trübsee). This gentle hike passes the lake and leads to the "Trübsee" chapel as well as Station Trübsee -- always with the Titlis glacier in view.
Hiking time: 40 minutes
Altitude difference: 89 meters
Brunnihütte SAC-Rigidalstafel-Ristis
Starting at the Brunnihütte SAC (a mountain lodge accessible via cable car to Ristis and then chairlift to Brunnihütte), you cross the ski slope and go slightly downhill. The walking path to Rigidalstafel leads you through wide open spaces to Ristis, the mountain station of the Engelberg-Brunni cable car.
Hiking time: 1 hour, 35 minutes
Altitude difference: 254 meters
